Many pleasant things to say about this hotel, which is part of a Taiwanese chain. The downstairs lobby cafe does a surprisingly good selection of lighter meals which make an easy dinner choice if you had huge Taiwanese lunches and are a bit low energy from touring all day Breakfast is of good quality and the spotless downstairs sauna is pumped with geothermal water. Room was a bit worn and had the odd layout of having bathroom closest to the window.

This would be my first visit to Taiwan and did not know much about the city. It is a very large city with many locations to stay and the question was where would be the best for visiting city attractions. We looked at many options but ultimately chose Fullon Taipei Central. The hotel is located in the city of Daan which is about 40 minutes by car from the main Taoyuan Airport. It is located in mostly a quiet residential area fronting a main elevated highway which could heard from our hotel room. Hotel staff - Most of the front reception staff could speak english but I had some difficulty communicating with other staff members. You dont get the five star welcome here by the team but they are almost always cordial if you engage with them. Location - Hotel is in the Daan district and there are no good restaurant or shopping options located within the immediate area. There is a 7-eleven store at the corner next to the hotel which was convenient for our first late night arrival dinner. The MRT subway line is about a 10 minute walk towards the large Daan Park and named Daan Park station. Neighborhood appeared to be very safe and even walking around at night we felt safe seeing other locals going about their business. Hotel Facility - This is very much a older hotel and very evident by the property and furnishings itself. The hotel and our rooms always had this strange musty odor even though the hotel tries to deodorize the main areas. Our room for sure had the musty wet odor at all times. The furniture in the room was very old and well worn. One of the nightstand drawer faces actually fell right off as I shut it. Carpet throughout was stained and looked old throughout the room. Some lights would not work and our long corner hallway in our room was dark creating quite a creepy situation. There are NOT enough electrical outlets for a normal traveler having a laptop PC and charging for phone. Sleep quality depends on your neighbor as we had a few that came back late at night and let the door slam shaking the entire wall. You could then hear the conversations in the adjacent room throughout the night. In conclusion, the Fullon Hotel stay was a good one for us as we overlooked the dilapidating conditions and favored the quiet surroundings of the Daan neighborhood and central location to the popular tourist attractions.

The Hotel is in a ok location but lacks any offerings. The rooms are a bit dated but overall ok. The room was clean but there was a lot of dust in corners or on furniture so I guess they speed clean through it. The rooms where quiet and one could sleep nicely through the night.

I stayed in this hotel for several times during the past few years. Rooms are very large nice and very comfortable for Taipei. Just one step short of being luxurious. Bath room is really big! and has a nice large bathtub. Only thing to complaint about is breakfast gets worse and worse over the years. Overall good location. Good price! Sad to see that is will be closed. The restaurant is pretty good. The only thing prevent me from giving it 5 star was that is seems that it is not that well maintain and not as clean as it should be.

The hotel is very nice and the staff pleasant. Rooms are comfortable and breakfasts cater to wide variety of palates. What stopped this being a 5 star review is after signing for bill in Taiwan dollars as soon as car to airport left I was charged in American dollars at hotels exchange rate then converted to euro. Means my stay cost an estimated extra $65 or 2500 TD. Fortunately business trip but shoddy accounting.
